When the Clinton Foundation started their work six years ago, they focused on lowering the cost of HIV drugs and tests. They supported governments in developing and implementing plans and policies to dramatically increase diagnosis and treatment. And as a result, 1.4 million people with AIDS are now using medicines purchased under the Clinton Foundation's HIV/AIDS agreements.
This is what it means to lead with your heart. To do what you can, where you can for people in need, both at home and abroad. Won't you pledge to do the same and help make the next generation the first free of AIDS?

Don't forget that AIDS prevention ALWAYS should Include: Realistic AIDS sex education for both men and women, boys and girls; and, CONTROL of their Reproductive Freedom and fertility, by women. In other words, rescinding the Gag Rule that the U.S. has imposed on other countries receiving U.S. aid. Without such REALISTIC measures and information, AIDS medical-help-afterwards will be nothing but a stopgap measure. "Abstinence" is NOT a realistic alternative for many African women. CONDOMS must be widely available, cheap or FREE of charge, and widely promoted for both disease (STD, HIV-AIDS)-and-birth-control.
A positive HIV testing result does not mean that a person has AIDS. A diagnosis of AIDS is made by a doctor using certain clinical criteria (e.g., AIDS indicator illnesses).

Why is there almost no 'HIV/AIDS' in Japan?
Answer me this. If 'AIDS really is a sexually transmitted syndrome (common cause -'HIV'- for old existing diseases) then why is there almost no 'HIV-AIDS' in Japan. Total cases in twenty years amount to only 7,500 or 375 a year.
