Burning pain in penis urinary urethra

I have been having problems with my penis lately. Every time I ejaculate with orgasms, after a bit of time goes by, I can feel burning pain in either the penis urinary (urethra) tract, or the other tunnel where ejaculate comes out of. I can’t pin point the problem cause. I can get hard erections, but some times the shaft hurts somewhere between the “root” or base and the penis head. I am not sure what is causing this.

Although I’m planning on going to the doctor, I am wondering what this symptom may be. At first, I thought it’d go away, but it’s been like this for a while. Even when getting penis stimulation pleasure from my girlfriend, I still feel the urinary tract pain, if I’d ejaculated the day before. Sometimes, if extremely gentle.

I don’t feel much of the pain, mind you it’s never crazy stuff, to hurt it, I feel that a swelling occurs every time I ejaculate semen fluid and then for a few days I feel the pain in the urinary tract. It is really turning me away from any sexual intercourse pleasure because of the penis pain associated with it. What is the cause. I hope it’s not a E.Coli infection, STD or nothing serious. Thank you for your advice.

Normal urine is sterile. It contains fluids, salts, and waste products, but it is free of bacteria, viruses, and fungi. An genital infection occurs when microorganisms, usually bacteria from the digestive tract, cling to the urethra walls and begin to multiply. Most penis urinary infections arise from one type of bacteria, Escherichia coli (E. coli), which normally lives in the colon.

In most cases, bacteria first begin growing in the urinary tract. An infection limited to the urinary tract is called urethritis (UTI). From there bacteria often move on to the bladder, causing a bladder infection (cystitis). If the penile urethra tract infection is not treated promptly, bacteria may then go up the ureters to infect the kidneys (pyelonephritis).

Painful ejaculation may occur due to the use of certain prescription drugs such as antidepressants the tricyclic antidepressants (TCAs, e.g. clomipramine, imipramine, desipramine, protriptyline, amoxapine), the selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs, e.g. fluoxetine), venlafaxine and the MAOIs. Apart from lowering the dose and changing the antidepressant, no strategies are available to treat this side effect.

Prostatitis or inflammation of the prostate can also cause painful ejaculation in a man. Ejaculation pain may also occur with some infections that are sexually transmitted.

Ooing to a urologist Reply by: Worried

Hey everyone, thanks for the feedback. Just to narrow some things down, it’s not due to a condom. I can’t pinpoint the exact location of the pain, since when it hurts, I thought I’d be able to squeeze the shaft and find the area, no luck.

I’m certain that it is not in the head part of the penis. I’m pretty sure it’s somewhere in the middle of the shaft(root to head).

As soon as I can, I’m going off to a urologist :), but in the mean time, maybe someone has experienced this. (I believe that it’s either a bacteria infection, or a tear) Thanks

Blunt trauma injury Reply by: MSH:

You may have Penile Fracture, caused by blunt trauma injury can be extremely painful and one may never recover. Take anti-inflammatories, and see a doctor to examine for a correct diagnosis. If left untreated, a penis fracture may result in deformity of the penis or the inability to have or maintain an erection (erectile dysfunction).

Like needles symptoms Posted by: David

All these symptoms sound familiar. My discomfort is all day long and at times I experience the sharpest Pain ever on my penis, they last for a minute or so. Is like needles are going in it. has anyone felt.

STD tests Reply by: Not alone

I too feel these symptoms! I’ve had this problem for two months now and my doctor has done all the infection and STD tests on me with all negative results.

I’m in the military so I have to wait a month to see a urologist. Some of the symptoms are a sign a prostate cancer so it is a very scary concern when it is a disease you must catch early!!!

I’m 36 years old and I’m told they are checking men at around 35 for prostate cancer because men are getting it younger and younger. Is this true?

Gonorrhea serious complications Posted by:Mare

While men are more likely to have symptomatic infection than women, women are much more likely to have serious complications for gonorrhea (i.e. including pelvic inflammatory disease, infertility, pregnancy complications, perinatal transmission, perihepatitis).

Endometritis and pelvic inflammatory disease occur in 10-20% of gonococcal infections in women, and these complications may need hospitalization and/or surgery.

Pelvic inflammatory disease can cause chronic pelvic pain and infertility or ectopic pregnancy.

Obstetric complications are more common in pregnant women with gonorrhea, and their newborns may have ophthalmia neonatorum Disseminated gonococcal infection can manifest as pustular skin lesions on hands and feet, tenosynovitis, and polyarthritis.

It can also cause many serious complications, including septic arthritis (the most common nongenital complication) and endocarditis. Complications in men include epididymitis and orchitis.

Gonococcal conjunctivitis arises in 1-2% of cases. Other complications include: periurethral abscess.

HIV transmission may be facilitated because of an increased shedding of HIV in the semen of men with gonorrhea

Medical doctor advice Reply by: Dr. Yagami

What you are experiencing is discomfort and pain caused by masterbating. It is just something that some people experience time to time and is perfectly normal. I would however advise seeking medical help to rule everything else out first. Hope this helped you.

Prostate problem Reply by: John Dugan

Painful ejaculation can be caused by a few different things. Have you been checked for an enlarged prostate or UTI? Any kind of ejaculation pain should really be checked by a doctor. Aside from that, you might try prostate supplements to help prevent problems like prostate cancer.

Supplements with natural botanicals like sang huang mushroom and African plum tree bark (health professionals recommend Prostate Ph) have been tested by researchers; extracts from these plants slowed the growth of prostate tumors and caused cancer cell death when injected into white mice. Take care, and hope you solve your problem!-Alex, PhD
