I was told if you masterbate too much you will go blind. Is that true?
Reply by: Dr. Brown
Contrary to ancient popular beliefs and myths, male masturbation
does not lead to unbridled lust, does not make you blind or deaf, give you the flu or other dieases, drive you crazy,
grow hair on your hand, make you stutter, or kill you.
Biologically speaking, masturbation is as right and normal as sneezing, coughing, laughing, and yawning.
Masturbation is definitely a healthy sexual activity. It is one way for you to enjoy your own body,
and to give yourself sexual pleasure. It can also tune you in to your own sexual likes and dislikes.
You then have the choice of sharing that information with a sexual partner to enhance a sexual relationship.

hi.i started masterbation when i was not adult at the age of 14. hence i become adult by excercising the masterbation
regularily. now i m thirty. 1 to 2 years at the age of 18 i gave up masterbation. and again indulge in masterbation.
can u tell me the harms resulted by masterbation. and is there any effect on teh thickness of penis while indulged in masterbation.
Reply by: howard
It can be harmful when injury from over masterbating and forcefull activity is applied. Using a oil-base lubricant is adviseable.
It can be harmful when good penile hygiene before and after masterbation to guard against infection and disease is not applied.
It can be harmful when it becomes compulsive. Compulsive genital masterbation, like all other compulsive behaviors, is a symptom of an emotional problem and needs to be addressed by a mental health specialist.
The penis is not a muscle so, thickness will not be effected.

As much as I try I can not stop masturbating. Is there anything that can help me quit this habit?
Reply by: don
It seems like you have male compulsive masturbation disorder, like all other compulsive behaviors, is part of a sexual addiction syndrome and is a sign of an emotional problem and needs to be addressed by a mental health specialist.
You have to focus on something more meaningful in life. Keep busy by playing sports, get a job, get a hobby, anything to take up your time and your mind off masturbation.

I'm a teen and i masterbate! Will too much masterbation harm sperm production later???
Reply by: beat it
I doubt it, that has lot to do with
testosterone levels, genes and ageing causes. Your only activating the delivering
(so to speak) of semen sperm fluid that has already been produced.
The average sperm takes about 2 to 4 months period to develope and mature. So when you are ready for kids,
in essense infrequent mastrubation with long time spands of a few months would be advisable to give
the sperms time to mature especially for those who have fertility problems.

IM 15 and my friends make fun of those who masterbate, i wanna stop, i do it about 4times a day. They dont know about it and i dont want anyone to know about it. How can i stop!
Reply by Rich:
Eric,
There is no reason to stop masturbating. At least 90% of guys do masturbate (and the other 10% are lying.
Four times a day is a bit often, perhaps think of just reducing the number of times you masturbate if you wish.
Masturbating is not evil, it is not wrong. Masturbating is normal.

if I don't use it, could I lose it? does restraining from masturbation cause impotence?
I have noticed that prolonged periods of restraint can cause impotence but normal functioning comes back
after a couple of times of masturbating. Will it always come back? Will it weaken my performance once I'm married?
When I was younger I used to be obsessed with masterbating, and I didn't like the person it made me so I stopped. After almost completely restraining for about 2 years I found that I couldn't keep an erection long enough to climax. After masterbating more I eventually felt almost normal again. Is this a dangerous thing to do?
Reply by Dee:
I am not a guy first off. But I do know that when a man has not had sexual gratification for a long time his endurance time goes way down. I don't think this is impotency at all. Just a normal thing.

You won't run out of sperm as your body is continually making more.

i am 19 years old and use to masturbate 3-4 times a day now every time i have tried to masturbate i don't have any sensations. i am really worried and have never been to the doctor about this. Without telling me to see a doctor (i know i should) what is the problem, have you heard of it before because i cant find anything about it on the internet and is it possible that it is just psychological. i am still a virgin so it might not happen during sexual intercourse. And also would this be possible to cure or will i never feel sexual pleasure. thanks a lot

You may have injuried your penis.
Masterbating too hard and often may effect the nerve endings in you penis skin to be less sensitive. Check with a Urology doctor ASAP. Click to locate doctor near you in the USA

So I'm a teen, and I masturbate. I feel the urge everyday to do it. It feels so good to me. I do it about 2-3 times a day.
Though football season will be coming at the end of the year and I want to try out. When I go get a physical will the
doctor know I've been masturbating? Will I get in trouble. Are there any way to hide it till then?
Reply by: don
No, there is no way the docotor can tell unless you have scratches, marks or scars to physically determine masturbation activity has been applied to your penis. The doctor will not be looking for that.
