My husband and I enjoyed an active sexual life for two years.
Then I bought him a realistic blow up doll on the Internet. Since then, he doesn't want to make love with me at all. He treats the doll like a real person, even went to the mall and bought victoria's secret lingerie for it. I tried to get rid of the doll and we had a terrible fight (me and my husband, not the doll).
Well I am tired of this doll and am tired of being second best. My husband told me I am fat and dumpy and Julie (the doll ) is perfect in every way. has anyone heard of this happening before?

Quote:"Well I am tired of this doll and an tired of being second best. My husband told me I am fat and dumpy ----". - So you have to work hard to be No. 1, and you CAN do it. Sit down and talk with your husband in a calm, respectful and understanding manner. Listen to what each other says and BELIEVE what each other says. Tell him you are sorry you ever bought him the doll. Tell him that you would like to lose weight for him, and ask him why he thinks you are "dumpy". That won't be easy, but honest open communication is so very important in a relationship. Ask him why he prefers Julie over you? Is it becuase he fantasizes about having a "perfect" woman? (By the way, she doesn't exist.) I hope he's not taking viagra too.
The more I read your story, the more I believe the two of you need to see two professionals. A marriage counselor, and a sex therapist. And I would suggest that you talk to your doctor about this relationship problem and ask his opinion on your weight. Are you in the normal healthy weight range, or would he recommend that you lose a few pounds.
SOOooo do some things with your husband. Do the things that both of you enjoy doing (sports, theater, etc.). Also do those things together that you know he really likes doing. Take a class together, anything to get away from "Julie".
I wish you the best, and don't delay in speaking with your husband or seeking professional advice.

Your husband needs professional help, I agree with Richard.
