Hello Mrs.

I commend both of you for trying various things and being willing and open to seeking the advice and counsel of a sex therapist. I'm with you all the way that it IS important to find a GOOD certified sex therapist, not just someone playing the game to make a buck.

Regarding lubricants - My wife and I especially like Wet Platinum because it is very slippery and stays slippery for a very long time. It is also tasteless.

As I believe I stated on a early post to you, I found that some exercises by Dr. Bernie Zelbergeld helped me to some degree. The exercises at one time were on the web, but are not longer there. It is my understanding that they are in the authors book titled "The New Male Sexuality". If you do not have this book you can buy it through Amazon.com. Another book that has very good reviews is by Helen Singer Kaplan and the book is titled PE: How to Overcome Premature Ejaculation. Honestly, I have not read either book, but you may wish to take a look. Like I said the exercises did help me, especially for when my wife would manually/orally stimulate my penis.

There is also a clinical trial that those with PE can participate in. It is being conducted in California, Georgia, Nevada and Utah. The web site is www.centerwatch.com/patient/studies.

I have also used a desensitizing spray that has helped me better control when I ejaculate. It is Stud 100. It contains lidocaine, and I like it much better than those than contain benzocaine. Benzocaine acts very fast, makes my penis so numb I cannot feel anything, and the effect doesn't last very long. Stud 100 with lidocaine just desensitizes my penis somewhat without getting totally numb. The effect also lasts longer than products with benzocaine. What I do is before we start our lovin', I'll spray some Stud 100 on the head of my penis. I'll let it stay there for 2-3 minutes and then wash it off, as I do not want to desensitize my wife in any way.

I really hope you can find a good therapist that can help you as a couple. Perhaps search the web and see if you can find one that has a good reputation and is near to where you live.

May I also suggest that you try Dr. Zelbergeld's exercises.

To me the most important thing is for your husband to relax. I am concerned that he has been under a lot of pressure to "perform" by himself and well as you. That pressure of course just makes the situation worse.
