probably some mild form of VD. Or an allergic reaction to something you came in contact with.
Or, it seems like you may have a injury or irritation to your penis that may be causing the swelling.
Try putting some ice on the swelling area to get that penis inflammation down. Make a appointment with a doctor to find out the cause and to guard against infection.

Is what you are saying is, you got a erection and the foreskin retracted then, later you lost your erection but, but the foreskin is still retracted?
If that's the case, then just put some mild lube or vasoline on your penis for the foreskin to return to normal (covering the head of the penis).

Sore foreskin abit inflamed and tight when i pull it back it hurts and feels like it is cracking or spliting

Could be a reaction to soap or any cleaning substances you've been using. If you wash your penis with soap, stop. This dries it up and causes foreskin cracking and spliting. Just wash with water. Rub on Vitamin E creams.
When having sex use a KY gell or other lubricant for the penis.
Other causes can be yeast infections, Banjo tear, herpes infections, trauma/soreness from dry intercourse or self stimulation and other reasons. You can find some mild antibiotic antibacterial cream in the drugstore might be helpful.
My theory is that because the head has been exposed, it has dried out and somehow lost its sensitivity..
