    I am a 57 year old man with a problem with ed and i was wondering if they got any news about blindness taking viagra drug side effects, cause my dr. gives viagra 100mg pills to me but iam afraid to take it cause of what ive read about it causing blindness. i would appreciate any comment on this issue. thank you

    A University of Alabama study suggests ED drugs, such as Viagra and Cialis, may produce an increased risk of optic nerve damage in certain men.
    NAION is the most common form of optic nerve damage in older US adults, with up to 6,000 people (men and women) developing the condition every year (millions of men take the impotence drugs).
    Male study participants who had suffered a heart attack were 10 times more likely to develop optic nerve damage if they had taken Viagra or Cialis before their ...

    The drugs' manufacturers have criticised the blidness eye problems taking Viagra pills, Cialis tablets, Levitra drug study as too small and said erectile dysfunction and Naion (optic nerve damage) had many of the same side effects risk factors, making it difficult to know if the Viagra 100mg, Cialis, Levitra drugs or the underlying condition was to blame. The researchers found no overall increased risk of Naion in the group which had used the impotence drugs. But it did find "a strong and statistically significant" risk amongst Viagra and Cialis users who had suffered a heart attack and a small statistically "borderline" increase in risk for those with high blood pressure.
