Is this something normal I am just over sensitive to? How can I tell him about the odor without hurting his feelings? He has gone through bouts of impotence and I know anything to do with that area is a touchy subject with him. No way will he see a doctor about the smell I am sure. How can I let him know and let him know I want to help?

I myself had a similar experience when I was younger; and it turned out that
I had an infection of sorts under the foreskin that wasn't able to heal as
it was rarely exposed to the air and was not washed sufficiently which caused a odor.
I went to my doctor and I was given an antibiotic cream to use for about two weeks, which cleared up the smell immediately, and have since been much more carefully about cleaning. Especially for uncircumsized men, it is extremely important to wash thoroughly under the foreskin. I was also encouraged to wear loose footing clothing around the groin at night, or to sleep nude for a few weeks to let things breath.
I hope this advice helps, and I hope you are able to convince your husband to see a doctor. If it helps I dont believe this would lead to infertility, especially if acted upon in a timely manner!

I was told by a tantric master that the best way to clean the inner part of the
foreskin is to hold the forskin semi closed and urinate. I should say hold the tip
of the foreskin hard enuf to allow urine to compleatly cleanse or flush the head of
the penis of any smegma that has built up that causes a odor. I have never tried this as I dont have
the good fortune to have a foreskin, but please let me know if it works.
