Please help if you can!
I was in a relationship and just as it ended had a red mark on the top of my penis
foreskin (to the left). I suspected this was from self stimulation chafing through my
clothes.
3 months later and I have not had a sexual relationship with anyone since but the
red area got worse. It would look a little
different in that patch normally but when I would self stimulation (even not touching the
area) it would flare up bright red. I went to the doctor when it was normal and he
suspected ringworm fungus or something and gave me some antifungal cream.
I chose the cheap
one at first and it did not improve. I then chose the expensive one and it improved.
It slowly went away for a week but then when I masturbated again it came back.
What is this? How can I rid myself of it?

Ringworm is a fungal skin infection caused by a fungus. Ringworm occurs when a particular type of fungus grows on your skin. The fungus infection thrives in warm, moist areas such as, under the forskin of your penis.
The infection is a common fungal skin disorder, affects people of all ages. Although its name suggests otherwise, it is caused by a fungus, not a worm.
Ringworm is contagious. It can be passed from one person to the next by direct skin-to-skin contact or by contact with contaminated items such as combs, unwashed clothing, and shower or pool surfaces. You can also catch ringworm from pets that carry the fungus. Cats are common carriers.
How can I rid myself of it?
Your ringworm infection must be happening after you self stimulation and are not washing good the ejaculation sperm fluid from the penis forskin area.
Since you have a foreskin on your penis, you have to put in extra effort to keep that area
under the foreskin clean and dry. Also, wash sheets and nightclothes every day while infected. Don't let it get any worse.
If the antifungal cream is not working ask your doctor for something else. Although it seem to work when you said, "It slowly went away for a week but then when I masturbated again it came back".
One last word, KEEP IT CLEAN & DRY (penis and hands)! Stop masturbating for a while to see if that healps. Your hands may be affecting your penis in someway.
