I have a question as well. I have never had sex, but have never been able to masturbate to ejaculation. I still have wet dreams, but am 19 years old. I often try for ten - twenty minutes but either cannot sustain the fantasy or else give up out of frustration. Any ideas?

At your ages the average male climax time to ejaculate sperm fluid while masterbating is 4-6 minutes.

What you guys have is called anorgasmia disorder. For some men the disorder presents itself in terms of an inability to reach orgasm only during sex or only for masturbation.

A common theory, tacitly assumed by many researchers, is that wet dreams are the direct result of the stimulation caused by either erotic dreams, or memories of awake sexual activities.
If you can ejaculate during wet dreams, that is a good sign your reproduction system is working normally. That leaves Psychological causes.

While masterbating you're probably not focusing on your sexual stimulation well enough to cause ejaculation like you can in your dreams. It could be guilt, lack of confidence or other causes.


Of course during your waking hours other things can come in to play, like anixiety and stress privacy and/or intimacy, distraction or depression. There is also a relationship between anorgasmia and childhood or adult sexual abuse or rape. Marital strife, boredom within a relationship coupled with a monotonous sex life are other known contributory factors.
