Testicles Epididymis In The Swollen Scrotum Has Inflammation Pain- Follow Ups:
Reply by: dan
The
epididymis, is a narrow, tightly-coiled tube that lies on the posterior surface of the testicles
in the external scrotum (balls) below the genitals of the male reproductive system.
During ejaculation, sperm flows from the lower portion of the epididymis
(which functions as a storage reservoir) out of the testicles and scrotum area
to the seminal vesicles and other accessory glands near the prostate gland forming semen.
The semenal fluid continues through the ejaclatory duct to the urethra in the penis and
out the male reproductive system.
The most common cause of inflammation pain and swelling in the scrotum of the epididymis is called epididymitis.
This inflammation is usually caused by a secondary bacterial infection that is brought about by a variety of underlying conditions.
Some cases of epididymitis are characterised by inflammation even when there is no infection.
Urinary tract infections are the most common cause.
The bacteria in the urethra back-track through the urinary and reproductive structures to the epididymis.
It can also be caused by genito-urinary surgery, including prostatectomy, urinary catheterization, congenital kidney and bladder problems, and STDs, like gonorrhoea and chlamydia.
Antibiotics are usually prescribed. Full recovery is usual.
Complications are uncommon.
I don't think lack of masturbation is the problem. I have not masturbated for over a year and have no inflammation and pain of the scrotum or problems with my reproductive organs.
Please see a doctor to get checked.
P.S. Get the chick checked out also.

hi i have a swollen testes it start with a little imflammation on my ereter which later result in a painful and swollen scrotum usually on my right scrotum. what can i do and use . i am in pain.....

Could be a
Orchitis problem.
Orchitis is an inflammation of one or both of the testicles, often caused by infection.
Orchitis may be caused by numerous bacterial and viral organisms.
It is usually a consequence of epididymitis, which is inflammation of the epididymis.
Treatment medications for the infection are prescribed if bacteria is the cause.
Pain medications and anti-inflammatory medications are also commonly prescribed.
When orchitis is caused by viral agents, only analgesics (pain relievers) are prescribed.
Bed rest, with elevation of the testes scrotum and ice packs applied to the area, is recommended.
So, check with a urologist doctor for proper treatment.

my husband has had a problem for about 3 months, he went to the doctor about a month ago,
they did a ultra sound and did not find anything, so they prescribed an anti inflammatory drug but doesn't seem to be
getting any better, can you suggest anything.
Reply by: bob
Call your doctor up and tell him the anti inflammatory drug is not working and can he prescribe something else.

i have a something likea third testicle. but its located under my penis on the left. its not a real testicle but its something as big as a testicle and its inside my body. and its not as strong as a testicle it's a bit softer. sometimes when i squeeze it i feel pain. please reply telling me of the diagnoses of my problem.
thanks...

It seems like a swollen inflammation condition. When you say you squeeze it and you feel pain, means it probably is a infection symptom. Check with a doctor as soon as you can about your problem, it sounds serious.

My husband was told he has inflammation in his srotum and it is swollen and his doctor prescribes medication.
Is this a serious matter? having sex is this contagious?
Reply by: howard
Most inflammations are a sign of infection and could be a serious matter. Check with his doctor for the diagnosis and risks
since there are many causes of inflammation to the scrotum including STDs (which is contagious).
