You have to lower the dosage when taking the Viagra tablets when stomach cramps or upset stomach occurs. My doctor recommended starting off with the Viagra 25mg dose tablets when I first starting taking them. I had very little stomach cramps drug side effects. Years later, I now use the Viagra 50mg dose tablets with some drug side effects. The lower the dosage the fewer the Viagra drug side effects. I also found that if you take Viagra tablets more than 1-hr after a meal it is less of a problem to give your stomach time to digest your meal. I've used a very mild stole softner from the drugstore to help with the digestion process about a hour after a large meal.

  I had the same problem. It seems to happen after eating a meal just before sex. It seems the Viagra shuts down my digestive system. I first tried a very mild laxative right after dinner and it seem to help. Now, I don't have anything to eat 3-4 hours before sex and now I don't have that side effect now. I use the 25mg and 50mg Viagra and generic Viagra (sildenafil) pill so, I found the higher dosage makes it worst . Your best bet is, just have him take the sildenafil citrate prescription drug on a empty stomach.
