I think I know what you mean by "invert." My penis (when not erect) pulls up into my body until not much more than the glans (head of penis) is showing. My erect length is about five or six inches, but at other times it can only be two or three inches. I don't think it's anything unusual. I saw many, many penises when I was in the Army; some "invert;" some stay at about the same length flaccid (limp) as they are when erect. I'm no expert, but I don't think anything is wrong with your husband's penis. Hope this is some help or relief to you.
