I am a 37 yrs old and my wife and I have been together for 24 years (14 yrs of marriage and 10 yrs of dating), and we have 3 children.
I have had many issues to deal with over this past year that has lead to my current situation. (i.e. laid off from my job (as an Executive VP), a major relocation, a third child, and a deteriorating marriage.
In short, due to all the stress-related circumstances, I was unfaithful to my wife. My wife is aware of my infidelity and we are currently seeing a therapist and are both committed to working things out.
We recently resumed sexual relations, but I now have a significant increase in stamina/endurance/duration. Prior to my infidelity, I would probably say that I had a premature ejaculation problem (i.e. 1 minute after penetration), and now I go for 1-2 HOURS before ejaculation. In addition, my organsm seems restricted as well. Is this enhanced duration and differnce in ejaculation psychological or physical?
I can understand the potential psychological reasons, but I would also like to know if their could be any underlying health conditions that could cause this problem? In addition, my wife asked me to go to my doctor to check for STD's (which were all negative). One of the tests required that the MD scratch my urethra and it resulted in me not being able to urinate, so he had to cath me. Can a cath cause any ejaculation problem? We just moved again and I have not had a chance to talk to my new physician. I have an appointment next week and plan to discuss with my MD, but I wanted to know3 if any one has any answers for me?
