I was glad to read that you were wise and went to see a doctor for medical advice. Unfortunately, your doctor did not take your problem or concern seriously. PLEASE, do see another doctor for a second opinion. A good doctor will explain things to you and not just say "it is possible somelthing could develop". I would suggest that you see a Urologist as they specialize in "that area of the body" so to speak.
Do let my know what you find out.
