Posted by Jennifer:I don’t think he fully understands how much difficulty he is having, he seems to feel that not being to get an erection or hold an erection for a period of time is normal. He told me that he has always been this way, he is shy, he needs time to feel comfortable, but we have been together of a few months now, and his ability to obtain an erection while we are “making out” has greatly increased.
I really think there is some problem with blood flow or something. When I manually stimulate him I can feel his penis getting harder, then seconds later losing the hardness. Then a few seconds later I feel another wave of firmness and seconds later the firmness is gone, all the while his penis is erected.
When we are able to have sexual intercourse he does cum too quickly! But to be honest I figured that was an issue we could work on. However, because he has the inability to control his penis erections I am wondering if it’s another symptom of a larger problem.
He does not smoke, do any drugs, or drink, so those can’t be causes. He says that he is not taking any prescription medications, so I know that’s not the problem.
How can I convince him to see a doctor about this, Or is it me that is in the wrong? I am used to men having NO problems getting an erection with, or without any help from me, plus I am used to a rock hard penis. I too am a bit "lost and confused" as a "rock hard" erection for most males seems to be the norm and is so for this oldie. I did and sometimes still do have the problem with "premature ejaculation", but that is a whole different issue.
Your fellow's penis erection problem may be caused in part to nerve endings in the penis, however the "premature ejaculation" issue would seem to discount that. Small blood vessels. I would doubt that would cause the problem, however I'm no doctor. His symptoms are of a a mental issue. After all the brain is in a way the largest "sex organ" considering the large role it plays in sexual arousal and all those other good things.
I do have a question - Does he self stimulate, and if so how often, and does he do it just before you have sex? If he does do it, may I suggest that he not do so for a week (and no foreplay or intercourse). Then see how your lovin' goes after a week and if it helps him to have a rock hard boner. If it seems a bet better, then have him not self stimulate for two weeks (and no sex). Then give it a try again. Hopefully that may help. If there seems to be no change, then I like you would convince him that he see a urologist. Please understand that guys don't like to see doctors about such things, and I'm included. Tell your fellow that you are concerned about him, that you do love him, and want him to fully enjoy the pleasure of having intercourse with you. Try to be as positive as you can be. Show concern without making him feel less of a man. I wish you the best.
