I just recently stumbled upon a videotape of me and my boyfriend haveing sexual intercourse, he never had my consent to do so. I feel like this is a very private moment shared between two people and a decision that should have been mine to make also. He was the person i trusted the most and I feel like he betrayed me with his lies. He says that he was going to suprise me with it, but it has been five months and the only reason I know about it is that I found it myself. Please help me to understand what he could have been thinking. Is this normal? And am I overreacting to the situation??

No your not overeacting to the situation. The fact of the matter is that he has no right legally or morally to tape you without your consent. I would be concerned as to whether or not he has used the video for his own private use or if he has taken the liberty of showing his friends - I doubt that he would admit it if this was the case. My guess is he has made the tape to use as a masturbation tool, or as a way to boost his own ego. Let him know in no uncertain terms that you will not tolerate this violation of your privacy again.
