The latency time, "waiting period", "refractory period" which follows a orgasm, climax and ejaculation, is the time were a man's penis cannot be restimulated to orgasm and ejaculation.
The latency time or length of the refractory period usually increases with age and differs from individual to individual and occasion to occasion.

In men, new sperm develops every minute.
There's no standard latency waiting time between ejaculations, so there's not much point in comparing.
For some men, it's mere minutes before they can ejaculate (orgasm, climax) again; for others, it takes hours, or even a good night's sleep.
For young men, the latency refractory period is usually the mere minutes; for older men, latency ejaculation is longer and may take hours or days.
Also, some men's penis gets soft during the latency refractory period, while others maintain thier penile erections.
Many things can affect the length of the latency refractory period, including:
1) stress
2) alcohol and/or other drug use
3) interest in having sex at the moment (some men do not want to do it on demand)
positioning during sex (for example, a man might find that his refractory period is shorter when having sex in a sexual position he prefers)
So, each time after you have a orgasm, just try again and start the penis stimulation process at differant time intervals. That way, you can find your own latency waiting time.
