Yes, there are many purported ways to learn how to control ejaculation, and with some there is partial success.
For my wife and I it has been a matter of acceptance and in a way of using the "problem" to our sexual pleasure benefit. By the way we have been married for 40 years and enjoy our lovin' about once a week to once every other week.
No, you are NOT alone in this world. You are not alone in just you having the problem, and you are not alone in having to deal with this by yourself.
Tonight do tell your wife that you love her. Tell her how much she really means to you. The two of you working together can get back on track. It is a matter of being understanding, understanding PE, and letting your love for one another get you through this. Lovin' is such a wonderful way to show how much you love each other through sexual pleasuring. It is a way for each person to "feel" that love.
I have found that some exercises by Dr. Bernie Zelbergeld helped me to some degree. The exercises are in the authors book titled "The New Male Sexuality". If you do not have this book you can buy it through Amazon.com.
I have also used a desensitizing spray that has helped me better control when I ejaculate. It is Stud 100. It contains lidocaine, and I like it much better than those than contain benzocaine. Benzocaine acts very fast, makes my penis so numb I cannot feel anything, and the effect doesn't last very long. Stud 100 with lidocaine just desensitizes my penis somewhat without getting totally numb. The effect also lasts longer than products with benzocaine. What I do is before we start our lovin', I'll spray some Stud 100 on the head of my penis. I'll let it stay there for 2-3 minutes and then wash it off, as I do not want to desensitize my wife in any way.

Is there any way to increase my stamina, with out the use of coitus interruptus (withdraw before ejaculation or the stop start method) to control premature ejaculation?

Sexual positions can affect a man's ability to control his ejaculation. The typical "missionary" position (on top of your partner) is not the best position while attempting to control ejaculation. Try laying on your back, allowing the partner to control sexual intercourse. In this position you are more relaxed, and can guide your partner easily.
Pharmacological treatment is now receiving increased attention from physicians and the pharmaceutical industry. The use of low dose anti- depressants including Anfronil, Clomipramine, Prozac, and Zoloft have been reported to be successful in prolonging ejaculation for many men. The adverse drug side effects from such prescription medications is a deterrent for many men seeking a safe and effective means to prevent premature climax ejaculation
