If you were asked to abstain before your test, there is a reason for that. It isn't necessarily because prior activity decreases the sperm count as much as it is the need for a release of a fresh collection. If you tainted this procedure, you'll have to take the test again. I'm unsure exactly what the test was for, if not for fertility reasons. The density will be recorded as well as the motility results after the rinse wash. I believe they also test for abnormalities/malformations as well.
